OutLaws Board of Directors

The Seattle University School of Law OutLaws holds elections for its officers at the end of each academic year. Vacancies on the board of directors are filled by application to existing board members at the beginning of each academic year. Each director is appointed for a term that ends upon his or her graduation from the Seattle University School of Law. The 2008-09 officers and general board members are listed below.

Jessica Mullan, Co-President (3L)

Jessica is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities having majored in psychology. She enrolled at the Seattle University School of Law two-and-a-half-years after her graduation from the U of M. She is interested in Public Defense. She has held summer internships with the Public Defender's office of Rochester, Minnesota and San Rafael, California.

Caleb Oken-Berg, Co-President (2L)

Caleb graduated in 2006 from Pomona College with a B.A. in International Relations and Romance Languages & Literatures. After graduation, Caleb worked as a legal assistant in Washington, D.C. for Shearman & Sterling, LLP. He is also the Vice President of the Dispute Resolution Board.

Sara Watson (2L)

Sara attended undergrad at Smith College and earned a B.A. in Government in 2006. After graduation, she worked with Habitat for Humanity as a construction crew leader for a year before coming to law school. Sara is pursuing a joint degree JD/Masters in Sports Administration and Leadership. 

Kurt Kruckeberg (1L)

Kurt graduated from Luther College in 2003 with a B.A. in Music and Sociology. He received his M.Mus. from the University of Colorado in 2006 and was employed as a voice teacher and an accountant before enrolling at Seattle University School of Law. He is the 2009 Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson Diversity Fellow.

Adrien Leavitt (1L)

Adrien graduated from Smith College in 2004 with a B.A. in Mathematics. He is particularly interested in transgender rights and providing legal services for the transgender community.

Victoria Slade (1L)

Victoria graduated from Smith College in 2003 with her degree in Sociology & Anthropology. Prior to enrolling at Seattle University, she was in a management position at a large book store. Victoria is also a member of the School of Law's Dispute Resolution Board.
