What is VSA?
Diane Nguyen explained goals, vision,
schedule.

Goals: Increase awareness and
celebrate Vietnamese culture within school and the community.

Vision: Last year, we worked hard
at spreading the Vietnamese culture in the community. This year,
in addition to our commitment to community service, VSA would also
like to reach out to spread the Vietnamese culture within our
school and peers.

Brief history of SU-VSA: Began in
1994 until now.
Tentative events for the year:
Fall:
Thanksgiving Dinner
Winter: SU-VSA & UW-VSA dance, Tet in Seattle, International Dinner
Spring: Spring Dance
Choang explained social event.

Each month, we will have a social
event where we can get away from school and hang out and get to
know one another in a social setting. Any suggestions please let
Choang know.

Diane Nguyen explained duties and
responsibilities. Elections will be held next meeting, Thursday,
Oct. 17th, @ 5:30pm, Student Center room 330.
Summer update: Hoi Cho He, game “Cau
Ca”
Elizabeth explained that we had a
fundraiser in the summer, called “Cau Ca.” This game raised a good
amount of money for the club.

Design
Huong explained that we have a
T-shirt design. Winner gets a free T-shirt. Bring your designs to
the next meeting. We will vote at the next meeting, 10/17.
